Justin Chen
Justin Chen is a rising senior at Newport High School who enjoys math, playing music, and running. He grew up attending many local/national math competitions and hopes to share his knowledge and love of math with others.
Daniel Gao
Daniel Gao is a rising senior at Newport High School who enjoys beating other people at card games, running fast, and drawing. He qualified for AIME in 6th grade, is a multi-time legend Hearthstone player, and continues to study math at an advanced level.


This course explores the relationship between algebra and geometry, starting from Euclid and moving forward. Topics such as transformations and parabolas will be covered from both perspectives, leading to applications in competition math as well as in physics, computer graphics, and more.

Topics: Compass and Straightedge Constructions, Cartesian Coordinates, Euclidean Geometry, Transformations, Vectors, Parabolas, Quadratic Equations

Prerequisites: Algebra 1, recommended Geometry.


Materials: Paper, pencils, notebook, ruler, protractor, compass
