Location: Classes will be online through Microsoft Teams | More info will be sent out before first class
Dates: Saturdays | Jul 4th, Jul 11th, Jul 18th, Jul 25th, Aug 1st, Aug 8th, Aug 15th 
Time: 1:00 PM - 2:30 PM
Fee: $70 | contact for financial aid
Target: Entering 8th grade - 11th grade 


Eashver Elango
Eashver is a rising senior at Newport High School who loves computers and running.  He is currently an instructor in our intermediate Java summer camp, and often helps out with technology related programs.


Intro to ML in Python is an introductory Machine Learning course that is designed to provide an introduction to basic machine learning concepts and data manipulation. It is aimed for more advanced students (8th to 10th grade) who want to broaden their perspectives of computer science. This class is led by a high school student who has 4 years of experience in Python and regularly competes in machine learning competitions online.


Advanced knowledge of math and Python is required. 

Topics: Data Structures, Decision Trees, Linear Regression, Data Loading, Model Validation, Random Forests, Titanic Dataset, Image Classification

Prerequisites: Prior experience in an Algebra 2 level math course and an intermediate Python course/Intro to Python 2 class.



  • Computer w/ administrative access, code editor, and terminal (BSD Laptops do not contain these functions.)

  • Paper and a pencil
